Dustin Hahn
I noticed you didn't have a topic to post my assignment in. You asked me to: Please write a chorale setting (SATB two-staff) of a simple folk melody (like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star or something). Here it is: A midi file and a MUS. twinkle.MUS twinkle.MID
Christopher Dunn-Rankin
Yes. Sorry about that, and thanks for making the thread for me.
Christopher Dunn-Rankin
Parallel Fifths: mm. 3, 5-6, 7-8, 11 (between bass and alto voices) Parallel Octaves: mm. 1-2, 6, 8, 9-10 (between soprano and tenor voices) Stylistically, your lines are very difficult to sing in tune, because they leap in odd and non-intuitive ways. I'd like you to redo this, taking into account parallel fifths and octaves NOT being allowed, and allow the lines to move in a much more stepwise fashion, so as to be easier to sing. I'll post a sample once you've done a rewrite.
