Halo 3 Release:Band Arrangement

Featured Replies

With the release of Halo 3 I will be trying to make a band arrangement of Halo's main theme.

This will be a project I will be working on for the remainder of this year and probally early next year.

I know exactly how to play the theme on piano with all the chords ect, but my main problem right now is what instruments will play what part.

Seeing as how this wasn't originally made for band, this can be a challenge.

I have various sample's of it that I am listening to at the moment.

This is one of them.

My first take was to have the flutes, oboe, and clarinets possible play the higher part that the viola's I think they are and the violin's play.

The low reads and low brass would possible be playing the lower section, wich the cello's and low strings are heard playing.

I got that much as a thought.

I just don't know what to do with the sax's french horn's and trumpet's..... I was thinking of having the trumpet's join the flute's,oboe, and clarinets with the melody, french horn's joining the low brass and the sax's playing along with the trumpet's....

I still need mor ehelp on this though :(
