Mark
And if someone doesn't use finale, they can't take part? Why not widen things a little, so you still get a score and midi/audio, and more people can take part? How about a score (pdf/mus/sib) And a midi/mp3 ? That way more people can take part, as from most noation programs you can make a midi and a pdf (using a free pdf printer such as CutePdf Writer) and everyone will be able to see the submissions as there are free readers for pdf, mus and sib files available. Guest CreationArtist
If you can't make a MUS submit a score...
Mark
A MUS is a score. Why not just ask for a score in one of the three aforementioned formats, for reasons already stated? Are you just being difficult for the hell of it?
Guest CreationArtist
anything is fine.. just post a score of some kind a MUS is preferred.
Trickshot
I know in finale you can open midi's and see all of the parts written out. That's good enough for me to see. But I s'pose I'm not the judge here. :P Can we do arrangements? As long as there's no copyright issue involved, or is it all original?
Guest CreationArtist
an arrangement is fine but must incorporate original ideas i.e. new textures or orchestration.
Guest CreationArtist
Submissions have been due for a while, but if you still want to participate, you have until the 20th which is the same deadline as the Christmas competition. I will except entries no further than the 20th for either contest.
