Dance With Me [Inspired by 'Define Dancing' from WALL*E]

Featured Replies

So I've been quite inspired by the music that plays at the "space dance" scene from the movie, and decided I'd attempt to write my first "film music" to try to aim for that mood. . . Hopefully it didn't turn out too messy.

Harp, strings and flute. Composed in Finale 2006, recorded with Garritan Personal Orchestra sound library.

For those who have watched the movie (if you haven't, please do), try to imagine that scene when listening to it and see if it fits. :)

Thank you for your time in advance!

P.S. The recording process seemed to lag the playback tempo a bit at times, but it shouldn't be too big of a distraction.

Hey this is really pretty. you got this from Finale? Maybe its my lack of skill but i can never write anything with suck good sound in Finale' s Garritan orchestra. :/

i really liked this piece. its really pretty. might i download it per chance?

Thank you. c: And sure, go ahead and download it. I'd be flattered.

As for the sounds in Finale/GPO; try using a lot of dynamic expressions, e.g. crescendo and etc., almost religiously. It helps out a lot. As well as a bit of reverb, of course!

This piece is very affective in conveying that tone you were going for. It's so playful. The Orchestration doesn't have a lot of interesting things going on. But it's right for this. It feels like a classic in terms of the genre. It does everything you need it to. It's awesome.

i finally saw this movei with my girlfriend. amazingly good movie.

i can really see this piece in place at that scene :)
