My first song on this forum

Featured Replies

This is my very first piece I'm sending to this forum. I had some difficulty because I'm not english, and I hope it worked...

The song is for four equal voices. The text is in German, as you can see. In english it's about:

"When your path of life is in darkness, so that you are at a loss,

when the stars aren't sparkling any more,

and you are totaly desperated.

When your grief, which makes your heart to give up hope, doesn't end-

below you the eternal hands are keeping you forever.

When the sail of your life is floating helpless on the waves

and the efforts seem to be in vain:

There still is one thing remaining with you!

May this days of darkness seem dreadful to you-

the love of God lets probably sink you but it won't let you drown.

Don't let yourself being crashed by the grief

everything needs it's time-

-step ahead

-look upward

to the light of eternity!"

Hope you like it...

Standard upload on this forum is .pdf score and .mid recording. That way, it's pretty much universally accessible.

I have Finale 2007, and as such, cannot open your file. Please upload in the format described above.

is this supposed to be four sopranos? altos? SATB? I can't tell.
