blackballoons
Hi Qc! What should we start off with? At this point I'm working on the first movement of a flute sonata; would you like me to post that up? (I can get that done tomorrow, if you so wish. :D)
Guest QcCowboy
this would be a good place to start, yes.
blackballoons
I'm currently on a school computer (my computer access at home is rather restricted...) so I can only upload the files out of what I have in my email. Rest assured, they are indeed the most recent versions I have input into Sibelius. I have a .pdf for what I have for movement 1; movement 2 is completed, but I only have a copy on Sibelius. >< Sorry if you can't see it! If this doesn't work I'll try my hardest to get a .pdf copy up ASAP. Movement 1: I have the first subject group and the second subject group, the latter of which I feel is a bit short. I plan on expanding the second subject group but I don't want to make it too awkward. Meaning, I don't want it to be too long or too short, or too...unfitting with the first subject group. So the last page of the score is kind of obsolete. Movement 2: Is finished, but I would like to make some revisions (to include dynamic markings, adjusting spacing, etc.) I also plan to add two more movements, one being slow and one being a brilliant finale. EDIT: Files have been removed.
Guest QcCowboy
don't post Sibelius files. I can't view them (this might be a sticking point in our lessons). and when you create a PDF, you must include the fonts. right now, I can't view your file because one of the fonts is missing. blackballoons
Sorry. I'll see what I can do. Is there any way to convert Sibelius files into Finale? I'm not sure what I can do for the .pdf file, since I'm not very tech-savvy. But I will try and look it up...
Guest QcCowboy
in the PDF options, be sure to "include fonts"
blackballoons
Roger that, sir. Like I said, the first movement is nowhere near done; that's currently in progress. I'm having some trouble with the development, and fluidity of the piece. I think the section starting at C is can work, but I don't know how to make it work; should I expand it? Or is it good the way it is? etc... Movement 2 is pretty much finished, although I plan to go back and revise it.
