God Creating space

Wow - do NOT go there.

The comment was not about what HAPPENED - it was about the title in the context of its scriptural basis - not in the context of the real world.

And Sherief - I did like the music. Originality isn't the end-all point of everything.

I didn't realize you guys were still posting in this thread! sorry for being so late to reply!

Unfortunately I had to put it aside because I had to take some jobs to support my self. I will eventually finish it though. Some of the instrumentation is different from the mock up due to what a real orchestra can play and can't play. maybe that's why I lost interest in it. but If i know that you guys are still interested. I shall do my best to finish it for you all!

Every time I hear something someone writes about 'space', 'creation', or the general aesthetic thereof that Jerry Goldsmith and other composers of the sci-fi film genre more or less 'coined' in the works of their time, I feel a sense of solemn nostalgia that he's no longer with us. It makes me sad that he's gone.

But then when I hear something like this, I feel a sense of joy that music of this aesthetic is still being written. In this way, at least for me, music lives and breaths in the aesthetics that transcend us as individuals. So, while the fact that Goldsmith is no longer with us still makes me sad, it's comforting to know that he has left an impression on you and many others.

The work is fantastic. Take pride in your accomplishment, because you've earned it. The next one you write, if you decide to, will be even better. If you decide not to write another, no biggie. You won't be the last to work more with the kind of space-themed subject matter you've worked so well with already. After all, we all grow in our own ways. Good work.

Thank you so much! and I'm very sorry I didn't notice your reply! My absolute fault! thank you for your encouragement! It means a lot that I know you people enjoyed it! I do hope to work on more space inspired music. If anything I'd wish to discover a new tone that redefines what space means in music! of course that might take me 40 years but I will work hard at it!

I'm making good progress on the score. hopefully I will post something soon! THANK YOU GUYS for encouraging me to finsh it!
