Hello everyone, I'm new. This a really cool website, I appreciate any comments on my music, I'll listen to whoevers music comments on mine. I have more music, but I would like to see how this goes first.

Iv'e been teaching myself, but judge after listening.

should I go to music school? What do you think I should do?

Thanks - Robert

very good mudic , I enjoyed the melody so much, however , you sould pay more attention to the orchestration .

Musically, I think you have quite a number of wonderful ideas that yearn for a more through development. Not exactly what the title refers to, given that this music in no way makes me think of the oscillatory patterns recorded in EEGs. Perhaps you could give a description of what one is supposed to listen for?

hello,

i'm new here too,

i found a couple of problems with your compostition although it showed good promise.

is it a pinao concerto?

if so, there was no real relationship between the piano part and that of the orchestra. the pinao part was only really playing solo, perhaps you could listen to some piano concertos that are well known and imploy their techniques?

the piano part was nice!

there was a section where the piano part gave way to a brass section, this was nice but i would have liked some quiter piano runs, or something of an intervention in this part, let you're imagination run free.

other tha that it was nice but not fantastic, it just needs a bit of ajusting to make it special

please take not thet this is onluy my opinion, otheres may see differently.

keep composing

Thank you all!

I learned orchestration by looking up the pitch ranges on wikipedia. This was kind of a practice piece, so I would try to remove any compositional preconceptions before listening. Iv'e never studied formaly, just internet surfing, this type of music is a lot different then modern songs. I just wrote what felt right, but I think if I knew more about organization side of things it would have came out differently. I think theres a point where I would rather write beyond the range of an instrument for artistic purposes.

The title represents the lucid dreamlike quality that exists in the state of concusness where theta waves dwell that lead up to this composition.

I wasnt trying to go for any particular style, and I haven't changed any dynamics yet, guitar pro makes every note automatically forte (guitar players do like playing loud).

Do any of you know anything about getting scholerships? School, and music teachers are really expensive, but i'm sure they would help.

Thanks for listening and responding!

Hello pagathoven

You see , for me personnaly, it's not a necessity to take music sessions , or go to the music school , many great composers are self-taught ones such as Yanni, vangelis , Kitaro ... etc ; however , you should get some basic things in music and musical composition so that you be able to arrange , and orchestrate you piece by yourself .

I can help you by giving you a great great book that will help you a lot .

Hey Younes, I feel the same way you do, but after talking to some teachers, it seems like school is the only way to get credit, or my music played by a real orchesrta in the extrodinarly elitest classical community. I would like to avoid school, but i'm willing to do whatever it takes to become a composer. I think if I got a scholership, then it would be meant to be.

I would be honored if you gave me a book to use! what kind of address do you need?

Thanks younesthemusician!
