Welcome to YC

It always helps if you can post a link to a mp3 of your piece. Having to critque a piece based on general midi is not fair to you.

It also always helps here if you comment in other people's threads. Some of us will return the favor.

On of the great things about strings is their ease of doing dynamic changes at any point. Most composers will have the dynamics in the strings constantly changing which makes for more interesting music. Use hairpins a lot with strings and your pieces will become much more alive.

hi.

sorry to spoil you're fun.

but...

where's the oopmph?

or whatever it is.

the first theme is fine but gets repeated to often.

the wierd bit where you turn into nearly every key possible is just... well... wierd.

hated the fact that the first vioin plays lots of the right hand piano part.

was the left hand the double bass?

if so it was a really boring part.

a concerto is supposed to show off the instrument.

i felt you under achieved.

turn it back to the violin and re-work the parts.

have a nice day

I do agree he needs a few more solos in it, but some of Bach's piano concertos have the piano playing almost continuously. (descara's music sounds Baroque-ish)

I thought he did quite well, but I do agree that he needs to give some more solo-time to the piano. :)

Welcome Descara btw. :D
