I haven't flexed my composition muscle in a few months, so I'm a bit flabby. I'm going back to basics for about a week and just working on counterpoint stuff. Here's a piece of a set of inventions I'm gonna be working on this week. Critiques are welcome etc etc etc

I like your ideas here so far - and especially how you inverted your theme from its upward motion to the downward motion towards the end. Very nice work. Hope to hear this invention in its completed state.

This is one of the only inventions that I have heard that uses traditional rhythms and managed to sound unique in some way. I like the way that you structured the harmonies in not quite a traditional sense and managed to sound a little bit modern without sounding harsh. Nice work.
