July 12, 201015 yr This is another marimba work of mine. This work is to suppose to depict an ant hill and the ants marching around it. I am sorry for the bad quality of finale though, the marimba will sound flat for lack of another term. It is for three player on one marimba. On the actual marimba the upper two parts trade the theme and you can tell from the score. The AntHill
July 12, 201015 yr I loved how the marimba rolls reminded me of crawling ants! It way a great way to depict the anthill, and I thought it worked out amazingly! The only thing I would work on is melodies that stand out more. You had a bunch of quarter note melodies with rolls that didn't really stand out against the backgrounds.
