July 23, 201015 yr Can you repost the score in pdf format? There are several pdfconverter programs that you can download off the interwebz -- I suggest CutePDF. Not everyone has Finale
July 23, 201015 yr This is kinda cute! Perhaps not the most effusively complimentary thing I could have said, but it's true! :D I'm concerned about how low you have the flute playing throughout the piece. This isn't the flute's best range, and you take it below middle-C several times; while I believe some players can play that B with an alternate fingering (wind players are nothing if not resourceful), middle-C is generally considered the absolute basement floor of the flute's range, and it's best to stick to that standard. It occurred to me that this might sound better played on an alto flute, which has a richer tone and a lower range. You seem to lose your way a bit after the repeat; the transitional section in the middle doesn't make sense to me musically. You do regain your bearings at the recap. I'm not sure what to suggest, but you might give it another look and see where it needs to go (the recap) and how best to get there. As it is, it feels pasted-in to me, a non-sequitur. It's a fun piece though. Nice job!
