Souls With No Woes In C Major

Featured Replies

Hey guys! This song like many others, will have lyrics later on soon. Until then however, wondering how you guys enjoy the song as a melody. I wrote it when my brothers long distance girlfriend visited, and seeing how happy he was I went over and had a theme going in my head so got on my keyboard, wrote it and eventually ended up with this. I'm excited to put lyrics to it, the main melody is as the title says. I hope you guys enjoy it, or it at least puts a smile on your face :)

Thanks very much! The previous version was worse, I was going to upload it but decided not to. Mainly the middle section was awful haha, so glad I changed it up. Today I'll get the vocal line done, then write lyrics, hopefully record and have the vocalized version up before I go camping this weekend :)

I'd encourage you to avoid voicing the bass line of the piano part so low that it is in unison with the bass guitar.

I like the feel of this, it's pretty cool. I feel the pacing of it especially is pretty nice. A bit on the long side for a song, but not terribly long. Definitely could use a bit more different stuff from about 3:00 on when the primary section comes back. We heard this exact same thing the first time, you HAVE to do something different with a piece this long. That is, unless the vocals do something really, really cool the second time.

Remember my last comment. Try to think higher when deciding what to sing and step back from the mike so you inject intesity into your singing. ;)

Haha alrighty, I will add some more stuff for that section after 3:00, give it more variety. Glad you liked the pacing :)

Also, I do remember your comment heh, I will try and do what you said but no promises XD I tried some higher singing and it sounds weird, maybe in tune but maybe not so we'll see when recording time comes :) Thanks Peter for your comment!
