Fantasie No. 1

This warranted a second look.

Intro is solid, if a little overtly repetitive in the right hand.

Starting at about :48 you get some nice echoed lines.

I feel the speeding at 1:00 wasn't particularly well-prepared, it's sprinkled in there almost as an ornamentation, but doesn't QUIIITE fit.

The shift to the slow section was well snuck in, however.

Shifting from that section is an interesting part, but it didn't quite fit to me, especially with those almost jewish-sounding notes. It's an interesting section, for sure, just could have been foreshadowed more?

The ending I think sums the piece decently, and that chord is a great "don't worry about it" moment.

Nice stuff.
