Elegy for Piano Quintet

Featured Replies

Elegy for Piano Quintet, Op. 8. Written after the death of a close loved one. Begins with a slow movement, followed by an allegro, then two more movements in the same fashion (unfinished).

Elegy for Piano Quintet

I like many of your harmonies in the first movement, especially in 17 (I wish the motion didn't drop away in 18). I'm looking for more of a binding thread in the composition. I mean there's some scalar motion and maybe the use of some third and fourth/fifth intervallic motives, plus 8th note and 16th note rhythms, but I don't feel like I know what the piece is about. However, what you have is very beautiful. Oh! The second movement audio file seems to be lacking. Could you re-upload it? Thanks for posting!
