Hello!

My name is Thomas Kobialka, I'm 15 years old and I live in London.

I've done a few grade exams in the past...I finished my Grade 3 violin when I was about 10, finished Grade 4 recorder (which is an instrument, by the way! ) when I was about...ooo, I dunno, maybe 10 aswell? But my greatest achievement is probably the Grade 8 piano which I passed at 13 (albeit a merit :whistling: ).

However, my main interest lies in the area of composing. I first experienced notation software when I downloaded the trial version of 'Melody Assistant' when I was 7 (I was, and still am, a hardcore computer enthusiast! ). I just played around with it at the time, but since then I got Finale Notepad 2008, then Allegro and finally...Finale 2011 last year! I enjoy experimenting with new musical effects and techniques and every now and again I write a piece or two with the software.

But a big mile-stone for me was when I got Cubase last Christmas. Since that time I've really enjoyed experimenting with sound and writing pieces and songs ranging through all types of genres. I also got EWQL Composers Collection a few months back to add to Cubase (you're all probably thinking where I got the money from  , well, let's just say that instead of getting an iPhone and PS3 I got these softwares! ;) )

I look forward to helping out in this forum and contributing in any way I can...

See you in another thread! :D

Wow Thomas, you sure are one lucky person..I don't have such privileges..Sigh.

EWQL..Cubase..expensive!!

Welcome! =)
