How important is to keep track of the date of our finished music?

Hello Everybody! 🙂

Is it important to keep track of the date of our finished music?

Do you all write the date on your sheet music when you finish it?

I would like to know why is it important,
because at the moment, I can't think of any reason that's good enough for me.

(I have my own ideas why it could be important to do that,
but I don't want to write it here,
because I would like to read your opinion first.)
