Well this is probably the greatest news I've ever gotten in my life

I was offered a job today, to teach classical guitar, and, I also got an offer to play at a really expensive resturaunt, I am not hesitant in deciding what I want to do with this golden oppurtunity, I am probably going to take both offers, just thought I'd let you guys know that there is still oppurtunity out there for us musicians to do what we love, and get paid!

Well, yeah...private lessons are pretty common. Nearly everyone I knew in college were teaching private lessons while they worked on getting their degrees. I was offered a job for it, too, but turned it down since teaching is something I'd rather avoid. But hey, congrats still. :) Getting gigs at restaraunts isn't always as easy. ;)

thanks, but I wasn't really looking for congrats, I was really just posting this to let musicians who may think it's hopeless that there is still hope.

I have only been playing piano since october 05. And no instruments before that. But i have been approached to teach as well. I currently have two piano students. I am giving them for free because they are each giving me lessons in a diferrent instrument. One of them is teaching me the organ and the other is teaching me the sax
