The light by Jérémie Lhomme

Hi guys! Here's a pop song I made a couple of months ago. I'd love to know what you think.

I've made everything and recorded everything myself. It's not perfect by any mean but, hopefully, it's good enough for you guys to enjoy.

Thank you so much if you took the time to give it a listen. I really appreciate it.

Have a great day!

This definitely feels like a song to play in the middle of the night, in your car, with all the windows rolled down. It definitely has that kind of mellow, free feeling to it that makes it feel weightless. Personally, I'm not the biggest listener of modern pop, but I genuinely liked this song! Awesome job!

I like your harmony in this song.  There's some harmonic ambiguity in the IV V vi I progression you use in the beginning (which could also be interpreted as bVI bVII i bIII).  I wish you had posted the lyrics - I am not entirely sure I understand all the words.  I agree with @SwiggitySwewgity about this sounding like a night song.  I can also imagine it as a very gentle background for some kind of intimate indoor setting.  Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much @PeterthePapercomPoser and @SwiggitySwewgity for taking the time to reply.  I'm really happy you guys liked it. I was definitely going for the type of atmosphere you described. The song is also about the feeling of isolation, emptiness and nostalgia one can feel when missing someone.

Thanks again for your comments! I can dm the lyrics if you are interested. 😉
