Trio Sonata in b minor

Featured Replies

Here is a trio sonata I composed. It is the first piece I could say im happy about. Any feedback is welcomed!

Hello.  I think it is a pretty good piece if compared to other trio sonatas from the Baroque era.  There are some harmonically awkward places especially in the slow movements.  And the faster movements lack some much needed articulations which would give them some much needed character.  I seldom hear so much legato playing from a flute and especially when they repeat the same note a few times in a row it is expected to be more natural staccato.  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the response!

Thats an interesting insight I never really thought about, articulations. I will have to study that more, im sure it would give my music more character like you said!
