I think this piece borders on being a-thematic which I'm sure wasn't your intention but the melodies when they do occur are quite diffuse and then in the cut-time portion of your piece you resort to just playing chords.  It might be an old approach which I use because I compose on paper and I don't know any other way but I try to base my compositions completely upon the progression of a melody - harmonies are pointless unless there's a melody above them.  That's just what I hear when I listen to this piece.  Thanks for sharing!
