Hi!

Quite long piece for a bagatella (or is it a "Balladette"? I'm not sure they mean the same). I would really like to read the score, would it be possible for you to upload it here or give a link?

The first two minutes sound good. There's nothing catching my eye particularly but I liked it. Is the piece divided into sections or movements? The second section that starts around 2:30 is more appealing to me. Sounds a bit like Chopin's prelude in E- (Op.28 No.4), a piece which I like, plus this time the left hand arpeggios give it some more color. I liked the rupture you do in 3:59, my kudos to the pianist Diego Salazar BTW!

The whole part from ~4:00 to 5:30 is satisfying, and it continues improving up to the end of the second section (I believe) in 6:30.

I feel the third section beginning very melancholic, and then it's just serious sadness up to ~8:00 where a 30 sec passage of confusion leads to a brief breath of hope that is, well, brief. After 9 mins, I am probably already immersed in your harmonic and melodic language enough to find everything that keeps coming deeper than what it might actually be. Now that I think of it, the strong contrast you made at 3:59 sounds furious.

You've successfully made a piece that keeps improving up to the end, from more or less good at the beginning, to appealing and enjoyable in the middle section, to really beautiful and emotionally charged at its end. Thank you so much for sharing it, It has been a real pleasure to listen to it. On a final note, I think it's not a bagatella, it doesn't sound like a bagatella but like a baladette as the title of your video says.

Kind regards,

Daniel–Ømicrón.
