Help With Deciding Between 2 Versions

Featured Replies

I have "doodled" some sketch lately (with no clear goal, might I add), and I have made 2 versions of the same "theme". I didn't know which one to pick, so I thought I'd let people much more experienced than me decide on one. And if you do reach a conclusion, may I know why you did reach that conclusion? I'm hoping it will help me with my indecisiveness in the future. Thanks!

I find no distinguishing differences between the 2 themes. As far as I can tell, they both simply alternate between I-vi chords and have strikingly similar (perhaps identical) overlying melodies.

@Tónskáld That is true. Both are really similar in that they are based on the same idea. However, one of them takes longer to go higher in pitch, and so I didn't know which one I should choose: the one that goes higher quicker, or the one that takes a bit longer.
