Waltz-Polonaise op.4

Dear Forum members,

you can check my new composition. Lately I am very inspired to write music.

This piece I wanted to be a little bit different from my other ones.

Hope you will enjoy.

Cheers,

Tomasz

Listening to this piece I was often struck by how different the accompaniment is from the characteristic waltz or polonaise rhythm.  There's definitely parts of it that sound like a waltz or a polonaise (the end) but the very beginning for example sounds more like a mysterious nocturne and some other parts like a mazurka.  I'm assuming you're Polish (from the way you spell your name) and with the channeling of Polish dance forms I think you could have called this a "Polish Fantasie-Polonaise" or something.  Although that's a technicality as far as the music is concerned which is great btw.  Your piano writing and playing is quite multi-dimensional.  Congrats on performing your composition yourself!  Although I don't know why your video is mirror-reversed LoL.  Thanks for sharing!

Hej,

thank you very much.
jsut to clarify from the beginning I wrote the piece but someone else is playing. So there is coming of course a little bit personal interpretation.

thank you again,

Tomasz
