The Insophisticate (Wind Quintet) - Movement 1, Adagio & Nonsense.

Featured Replies

This is my first woodwind quintet; it was commissioned by a group at my university. I would love some feedback.

I like it!  It's cool and funny concept!  Adagio & Nonsense ay?  I guess the nonsense is symbolized well by the muted horn unapologetically playing concert F, A, G?  LoL  Really fun 6/4 groove you lay down in the nonsense section.  Thanks for sharing!

I had absolutely no intent with that horn line to say that lol. It was just a style directive

Good adagio part.
Good nonsense kinda giocoso part. But it kinda makes sense to me as a self-contained piece.

Noteperformer does the job notably good.

Overall a fresh woodwind piece which I enjoyed listening to.

Kind regards,
Daniel–Ømicrón.

Yeah I agree this could definitely be played as its own standalone piece. Thank you for your kind words!
