Battle Hardened - Action Suite Composed By Tom Dahlenburg

Featured Replies

This Suite I composed on Ableton, it has to be my favorite Action Composition.

It is short however maintains a suspenseful and thrilling grip on the listener. The ending is something

I wanted to point out, it ends on a B natural however with just about every instrument in the orchestra

playing it at once. This is the heavy and almost dramatic ending you will hear if you wait until the end, it

is almost a minor/major7th chord in C, I focus the last note of the composition on the Maj7th of C minor. It packs a real thrill

and finishes with everyone wanting more. Please enjoy my composition "Battle Hardened." Thanks.

The overall sound "quality"(?) is a bit less convincing than other works I've heard from you, but it really sounds like something I would hear on an action film, pretty similar to star wars works in many moments. Congrats again Tom, these are very nice works!

Kind regards,
Daniel–Ømicrón.

0:56 - 0:59 sounds like it was lifted straight from Luke's Theme from Star Wars!  If I were writing this type of action music which is already stereotypically cinematic enough, I'd at least try to avoid those common melodic tropes that automatically bring certain films/composers to mind.  But that's just me.  Thanks for sharing!
