Aurora - Orchestral Composition

Featured Replies

This is my third orchestral composition. I used Cubase 10 Pro and Miroslav Philarmonik 2. I hope you enjoy it! Let me know what you think!

Hi @Alex Spanoudakis,

It does have a peacefup aura in it! For me it's one beautiful picture throughout. I find this very beautiful and lovely!

That said, I think around 1:00 the rendition makes the melodic instrument unclear. Also the ending climax can be pushed more if there are some contrasting material or tonality before it. Here it's F# Aeolian and beautiful throughout, thus making the piece less contrasting, but as I've said it's very beautiful and it's only under 4 minutes so I definitely don't care much about contrast here! Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece!

Hi,

    I really enjoyed the piece,

especially at 1:16 when the orchestra really comes in. It's very relaxing, I could picture this music as

the introduction to a movie or a documentary.

Beautiful! - do you have a score we could look at?

This piece is beautifully produced and rendered.  It has a crystal clear sound quality which is very soothing and enjoyable to listen to.  What I noticed is that the piece stays in the key of F# minor throughout its entirety.  It would have been refreshing and could possibly extend the length and interest of the piece if it modulated to another key either C# minor or A major could be just two closely related candidates.  Right now the piece sounds almost like just one long section of music, although it's not without its contrasts.  The ending also doesn't have a build up and in my opinion the music just stops rather than ending in a satisfying way.  Thanks for sharing though and I hope to hear more of your music!
