Timeless - My latest song!

Hello all! Hope this week finds you well. Recently, I was inspired by the incredibly unique soundtrack of Marvel's Loki series. Throughout the soundtrack there are plenty of unique and wacky sounds, but the one sound that has stuck with me most was this solo cello motif that recurs in the show. I wanted to make something like that! So, below is the product. It's using Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra, BBCSO Discover, and Intimate Strings. Tried to get somewhat experimental with the reverb to give some instruments a different feel from others. I would love to hear some thoughts! It's by no means a super exciting or action filled piece, to me, it feels more like a character or location theme. But would love to know what you think! Hope you enjoy the listen.

Hi @Layne,

The opening sounds spooky with those pizz (or not? What instrument is that?). Overall the piece is moody. ! think the texture here is mostly heterophonic and you can add more harmonic fillings and countermelodies! Also you may introduce some modulations since the whole piece is inside B minor, and this may mix the contrast well.

Thx for sharing!

Hi! Thanks for listening. I would live to vary it more now that I'm listening back to it this morning.

Also, those strings are played with the "col legno" articulation! Made them sound like the ticking of a clock, to go with the theme of the song!

I have completed a reworked version of this song! Changed some things, added some things. Would love some feedback on this version too! I reworked some portions of the song to have a little more variety and some variations on the main theme throughout.
