December 26, 20232 yr I came up with the Trio opening for Organ. How do you think it sound? Im still on the fence about the idea! Thanks!
December 26, 20232 yr Really nice. I like the melody, it's kind of catchy. Awesome counterpoint, sound very baroque-ish. I thought something was a little off about the phrasing and then I noticed that the second period is 9 bars while the first one is 8. That added bar is unusual, is that on purpose?

Thanks for the feedback! For the second part I added the that last bar at the end to show that I was planning to continue on with idea, so that its not a real ending!
December 28, 20232 yr I see. That makes sense then. I guess I got caught off by the cadences that are full-on preparing you for the next part already. Nice!
December 28, 20232 yr Hi @Guardian25, I like the driving rhythm of the gigue! Will you go for a dominant entry for the second entry in your left hand manual part instead of tonic A major?

March 9, 20242 yr This beginning certainly is very gigue-like with well written counterpoint and in the style expected of a gigue! Have you worked on this anymore at all since you posted it? I personally prefer a string orchestra as the ideal venue for writing old Baroque dances like my own specimens suggest. Thanks for sharing! Peter

Peter Hey! I have worked a bit more on this, since ive posted this, but I need to finish it! I will take this as a sign to do so And I will have to eventually explore the string orchestra. That would be two violins, viola, cello, and double bass right?
