Hands Posted October 30, 2006 Share Posted October 30, 2006 The New Music Ensemble here is performing Music for 18 Musicians in a month or so. I came <> this close to getting a small piano part. The Ensemble went to Carnegie Hall recently and met the man. I have seen pictures of them hanging out with him. Lucky bastards. Anyway...interesting work the man does. Yep. montpellier Posted October 30, 2006 Share Posted October 30, 2006 Uhhhh, sorry about this - I've never got on with Reich's music (compared with Nyman, say). I attended a performance of some theatrical piece - The Hole, I think (the set-up was multi-tiered & covered about everywhere under the proscenium arch)... I had to leave at the mid interval. I'd have loved to see the musicians hanging out with him... on a line to dry, I mean, not gallows...it wasn't their fault.
