Unfinished C major project

Any and all feedback (for example if the high arpeggio notes are too repetitive) and advice is appreciated. I like the piece but can’t really think of any new ideas for it

Actually I like it as it acts like a good ostinato! For me you can keep adding instruments as different layers with the increasing of layers and colours to increase the intensity of the piece, just like Ravel’s Bolero.

Hello @Alant!

To me the combination of instruments, especially the trombone and pitched percussion with the electric bass is especially reminiscent of the SimCity3000 soundtrack.  It's very nostalgic to me!  Great job and I was sorry to hear it end.  I think the track could be continued for much longer just adding more and more instrumental forces like @Henry Ng Tsz Kiu mentioned!  Thanks for sharing.

Here is an extended and better arranged version of the piece. Feedback on the composition and instrumentation (maybe it would be better off just using synth instruments?) is appreciated

Hey @Alant! I like this a lot. It does sound like it could be the soundtrack to a chill video game. I actually think a mixture of instruments would be favorable! I preferred the deepness of the bass in the first version, that was really nice, though i like a lot of the new stuff in the second version too. You could combine them.

As for ideas for what could come next, if it were me, i might do a pause followed by a big tutti g chord, and then continue in G major. And maybe do some inversion and retrograde with the motifs you have?

Here is an extended and revised version of the piece.

I’m still experimenting with having a wider variety of instruments, for now they are the same.

I’m in over my head with making arrangements like this so all feedback is appreciated

Here is a (I think) better arrangement of the piece. There are no new parts but I was unsatisfied with the most recent arrangements.
