christianc Posted November 6, 2006 Share Posted November 6, 2006 Hello performers of all instruments, Hmmm, first I have problems with my english, so let me define some words: - Triplets (Three tied notes valuing 2 "ordinary") - 5lets (5 tied notes valuing 4 "ordinary") - Etc. :P So! When you have 5lets, 7lets, xlets to play...do you have play them of equal value? I believe you have to for 5lets... and not for 7lets and shorter but... what notes should be shorter,? CaltechViolist Posted November 6, 2006 Share Posted November 6, 2006 Once you get to the higher numbers, it's probably a lot more important that they flow well than to have a high degree of rhythmic precision.
