elmarad40 Posted December 20, 2025 Posted December 20, 2025 Hello All! 😀  In this post i present my composition called "Land Of Gods". It is not finished yet from an orchestration point, but i believe with the current score you can feel and understand its musical content. It is purpose is to convey the awe, the majesty , the grandeur, and the influence of the ancient deities of ancient Greece. The mighty gods, untouchable by humans, they are able to influence all aspects in the life of the people. Its dark at times, epic and very melodic. The divine realm, ruling the cosmos, both with good and evil intensions, but never within reach of the mere mortals.  MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu LAND OF GODS > next PDF LAND OF GODS 1 Quote
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Hi @elmarad40! I think this piece really shows the fury of Gods to me. I like the tremolos you use throughout the piece ( it can be written in tremolo sign though), and the brass passages are solemn. Maybe more woodwind passages can be added between those strings and brass sections. Thx for sharing. Henry Quote
pateceramics Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Fun! Â I wonder if it would make a cleaner score to change the meter and tempo in some places instead of having so many -uplets. Â For example, from measure 71 to the end, you have nothing but triplets in the violin part. Â They are never set up in opposition to a duple, so you don't absolutely have to have triplets there. Â Instead, you could just write that section in a 6/8 meter or a 12/8 meter, make all the triplets into eighth notes, the quarter notes into dotted quarter notes, and the half notes into dotted half notes, and then use a tempo change to get the speed to match the section that came before. Â It would sound exactly the same, but might look a little more intuitive on the page to performers. Â I like the brass interjections too! Quote
