Solo Ave Maria (Updated)

Heyo! This came to me immediately when I saw the Marian Grotto when I was back at my Catholic college. Could you please let me know especially if the piano part could use any work, or if you think there’s a musically fitting way to reduce the range of the song? Also, is it ever too simple/boring/slow?

The first video is of the whole arrangement, and the second has strings backing the melody so you can hear what it’s meant to sound like especially in the low range.

You have a very sweet voice, and it was very fun seeing the way you had labeled sections of your piano part to get a bit of insight into how you think as you write.  I do the same thing on my scores while they are in progress.  Lots of little notes to self in the margins about what might come next, or other possibilities if I decide I don't like the current one.

The most obvious way to shrink the range would be some key changes for either the highest or lowest vocal sections.  You are writing in a style where that would fit in very smoothly.

The things you are worried about are all part of the mastering process.  I wouldn't worry about those things until you are in the studio, where you can adjust the values meaningfully.  Obviously, you'd want the voice part at the front and easier to listen to.

The song is not boring, it's pretty close to perfect.  If you want more, I'd add a 'B' section that changes key.
