Hello, everyone!

Hello, everyone! I am a fairly new composer; I started in mid-2025. I have years of music experience, and was born with a musical prodigy talent. This piece is called "SHINE!" and is my first official piece; my high school band director wants my piece to be played by our award-winning wind symphony. This is my first time I've stepped out of my comfort zone, trying new melodies, key signatures, and time signatures, and creating a piece that stands up to our band's caliber. Come along with me on the journey as I create this piece and others, and my journey to become a professional composer!

Lots of Love, Zia <3

"Percussion is my antidote, composing for it is my kryptonite."

Welcome, Ziiav747!
That’s awesome that your band director is considering performing your piece. Getting your music played live is always a huge milestone. It’s great that you’re already experimenting with different keys, time signatures, and textures this early on. That kind of curiosity is what really helps you grow as a composer. Looking forward to hearing how "SHINE!" develops :)

Agreed! Our band has won state several times and literally hosts the state competition! So I cannot wait to direct alongside him :)
