Inspiration

Featured Replies

I compose more easily if I have pictures or stories or scenarios in the back of my mind. And I need some ideas. I am open to all suggestions. My name is Ben by the way. I'm new here.

Looking for a scenario, huh? well if you want to be given an inspirational idea, you need to tell much, MUCH more then just your name :) :D :) . what do you like, what kind of music do you usualy compose, favorite composers, things you love thing you hate and MUCH more... I could give you something to write about, but im not sure how it fits your personality.

I am mostly inspired by Bernard Hermann, Danny Elfman, and John Williams. I terms of past composers, I like people from the Romantic Period. I like the heavy German stuff (Brahms, Beethoven) and the French free form stuff (Ravel, Debussey). I compose on the piano most of the time, but I use Finale to write dark brassy things with lots of crazy modulations. I have a site that my friend help me set up:

I wrote all of them except for "Tarnished Dusk."

*Don't mind the weird names (I'm not responsible for them.)
