Duet for Guitar

Featured Replies

Hey there. I wrote a duet for guitar late last year but never got around to putting in to any notation software (I used paper.... =/ )

I think this is the right place for it.. So if you have any comments and/or criticism, it would be most welcome. Although I have kind of put this to rest, I'll take your ideas into consideration for future pieces.

Let me know what you think : D

I liked it... no other comments though, sorry.

I'd like to see any other guitar pieces you wrote if you have any.

that's really nice! I like the counterpoint a lot! each line kind of completes the other and makes a very strong cohesiveness. I love the openness of the chords, especially in measure 4 (the A minor). Nice job! :)

I'd like to see this and possibly oplay it but I'm away from my computer with finale, could you PM me some time after monday reminding me and I'll take a look?

Eh... it was okay, nothing too outstanding... Measure 18 just suddenly starts with all of those sixteenth notes. The whole notes are also kind of irritating because there's nothing there. It's too rash for such a song representing such transient but overwhelming sorrow... Maybe I'm judging on the sound quality of the midi, idk o.o; the long notes would wound okay w/ reverb, i guess...

Cheers for the comments guys.

Now that you mention it, ajamesu, it does seem rather sudden the semi quavers that appear in the 18th bar. Btw, the piece is not meant to represent sorrow, entirely. How you understand it is different to how I intended it, which is as much a reflection of me as it is of you :) (maybe more on me)

If you have any ideas on what I could to to improve I'd be more than happy to hear it.

swankswede13, I'm happy you liked it : )
