why doesnt any1 seem to at least look at some of these topics...

i mean.. this is a forum... so arent u supposed to look at topics....

Dude, be patient. Perhaps the right people havn't checked them out yet.

People go into to topics that interest them. If a jazz musician is on the forum, they're less likely to go into the classical section than they are the Jazz. Also, people might look, but have nothing to say. Your request for help (the jaws one, anyway) wasn't exactly clear. I gave what advice I could, but some people justmight not know what to say.

You could start by trying to write (at least) decent posts. Then people might take the time to take you seriously. Words like "any1" and "u"...

*Giggles* Oh good, someone else with that pet peeve.

Ambiguous thread titles can be annoying aswell...

...people might take the time to take you seriously [if you avoided] words like "any1" and "u"...

Agreed. Proper spelling and punctuation certainly wouldn't hurt, use the appropriate capital letters (hit [shift], it's not hard) and apostrophes.

Otherwise, it makes you sound juvenile and ignorant.

but i am stupid, juvenial, an dignorant... and impatient... but ill at least try to work on that..

You surely aren't ignorant of the rule to start each sentence with a capital letter, and end it with a full stop.

If you are, then you now know, and ignorance is no longer an excuse.

Let me just reword your above post, to help dispel your ignorance.

But I am stupid, juvenile, ignorant, and impatient; but I'll at least try to work on that.

I never said you were stupid. If you try and form some sort of coherent and proper writing style, more people will take you seriously.

English is not my native language and such is the truth for a lot of other YC members. :) It is not a matter of having a 'pet peeve' as you call it, but that of respect for yourself and for the other members who devote their time to read barely coherent posts.

Thus it is not a matter of stupidity, youth, ignorance or impatience, neither are these valid excuses for such posts. For me, it is a matter of respect. Not to somebody elder, younger, more or less experienced. It is a matter of respect towards one's colleagues and towards a person's self. :)

Cheers! :D
