Finale file transferred to CD?

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend the simplest way to get a finale file onto a CD?

And once that is accomplished can anyone recommend the cheapest or most feasible way for it to sound listenable and not like the soundtrack to an 80's Nintendo game?

I would suggest you be more clearer, I can't understand half of the things you just said...

"Getting" a finale file onto a CD is called "burning" the file. So if you can burn files, go right ahead. If you've never heard of a burner, then you probably don't have one.

Cheapest and most feasible way can only get your music to sound like... sega genesis (as opposed to nintendo) from a finale file. Expenses counteracts on feasibility. So if you want a good listenable music, better start learning how to use computers. No offense, but you sound like you know the least bit about a PC.

I'll be the first to tell you that aside from Finale I am not very good with computers. :)

What I would like to do is to burn tracks onto a CD. These are currently exisitng as .mus files in Finale which I cannot burn onto a CD to be played in a stereo. My question is what are my options for getting these .mus files into a a .wav file or something similar so that it can be listened to on a stereo?

And then the second half of the question is can I possibly get a Finale file to have better sounds than Finale provides without investing in an ultra-expensive sound library?

To get your music onto a cd you'll need to convert it to a wav or an mp3 - file menu: save special.

To get your music to soundgood you can invest in GPO or similar, not that expensive, and sounds very good. To get an idea of how GPO sounds when used with finale check out the work of Qccowboy.

Hope this helps, Mark :)

GPO is very inexpensive: running around $200 USD.

compared to most other sample libraries which retail upwards of $500.

I suggest getting a discount for GPO if you are a student or a teacher.

It'll drop down to $180.
