The titan of angels
Hey, I'm looking at purchasing a guitar pedal, since my friend came over, and played on his Boss dd-20. I like how he can record something he just played, and then play a new guitar part, while what he recorded is looping. Does anybody know another pedal that can do this, but is cheaper? Or, the name of this effect would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dude, relax....you asked specifically: Does anybody know another pedal that can do this, but is cheaper? There's dozens of them available, most of which are on that eBay page I linked to. [edit] Here's a few more, reviewed for you: delay | Reviews search @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com (again, garnered from 10 seconds worth of Googlage) Or, the name of this effect would be appreciated. Thanks. The name of the effect is 'digital delay' ... What more do you want? :)

At least I didn't rag on him about bad spelling and grammar. :)
