Young Composers is encouraging its members to promote their YC threads through YouTube videos. I created a YouTube account in which I will then "favorite" all YouTube videos advertising a Young Composers thread. This will be a great way to promote your activity on this site. When advertising a thread, I encourage the advertiser to express positive points about the site before advertising your music thread, and to write down the link of your thread in your YouTube description. Next, post your youtube videos as threads in this forum, so I can categorize all videos within one channel. This could be a great way to advertise Young Composers through word of mouth. Note: Please include the title "Young Composers" somewhere in your Youtube video title tag. This way when people search for "Young Composer" on youtube, these videos will be included in the results.

Without a visible score or a specific dramatic moment to relate to, I can't say too much about this excerpt in a dramatic sense. I can comment in terms of its technical aspects however. First, if this is an opera for children's voices, the orchestra is oddly large. In addition, the orchestration is oddly dense. Even the best-trained child vocalists will have a hard time projecting above such density without straining and risking injury. I would look to many of Britten's theatrical works for reference in how developing voices are treated in solo (particularly "Turn of the Screw"). Must get started on dinner - more to come!
