This forum isn't soundcloud or apple music. Have you noticed how many musescore pieces make their way here? Just because you feel notation is outdated doesn't mean everyone has to use a sequencer. In fact, the OP even stated this was for middle school students in mind, who would need a score. Writing the "academic" way is what most people do here, who in return are hopefully given some advice on ways to improve. Yes there are adult members and some near or in the professional level here, but most are younger without the access to more pleasing sound samples. It's much easier to critique someone's music when they give a score to view, and as you know sequencers are garbage at producing a readable one. So instead of being rude and saying how painful it is to listen to someone's music here, offer advice on the score or don't say anything at all. You even...brag about your own music and link a piece you wrote to this poster? Ugh We all learn from our mistakes, though.
