  1. Hi, I'm an amateur musician playing saxophone, piano and recently learning Viola. I wanted to compose for a long time but found it too complicated for me. I've found a good book to start and compose my first piece for the Viola and Piano. It's a bit academic in terms of harmony but I had a lot of fun writing it and hope you'll enjoy it. I could have recorded it on my piano and my viola but the viola part is a bit tricky and it's easier to use virtual instrument. All comments are welcome Christophe
  2. I intend this to be my entry to the 2023 Manx Music Festival (Original Composition Class). There are a few areas that I still need to touch up on therefore this movement is not complete, however I feel that the structural and tonal aspects of the work are sound. In terms of style, this is perhaps a later classical style than some of my other work, particularly with the slow introduction as is characteristic of later classical works of a larger scale. However, there are places in the development that are predominately lyrical, of which one could say are influenced by composers such as Johann Christian Bach. Please provide constructive criticism where it is due. There will be 4 movements in total of standard classical form.
