    This is an improvisation on a theme I had stuck in my head, an ear worm. In my minds ear it was a fugue subject sung by a choir. I don't know if going from d minor to e7 in 3rd inversion at the beginning of a theme is original. It does give the idea a forward tilt and restlessness which I liked.

    I should start calling these preludes. I wrote this earlier today without any sound as a way of testing my ability to write complicated music without hearing it, but I had to make many changes once I actually tried turning it into an mp3 file (obviously).

    heeey, Papa's back... I love when you post these That second improv is magic. It's interesting how we can find what we're really trying to say during an improv. It's become my favorite way to start pieces lately.
