Leaderboard

I wrote Pictures for String Quartet today with the idea in my head that the listener is in a space occupied by different paintings. This current work is called Gallery One. I will continue to write some more. Gallery Two, Three etc. All feedback welcome. Whatever you say, I will consider it for the upcoming movements.

Well, after parting with a bit of money, I now have recordings of two of the six duets I've written (and posted here over the years) for flute and oboe, courtesy of the company Supreme Tracks. I've done a preliminary mix of this one and still have to do that with the other. Some of the duet is a bit technically challenging, and this is by no means a very polished performance, especially in the third movement. But given that I was only paying for one short rehearsal and the recording session, that's not a surprise. I touched up a few of the flubbed notes but didn't want to edit too heavily. I'm not 100% sure about the level of reverb I've used or about the stereo panning, and I'd appreciate any thoughts on that. Or, of course, any other comments. Thanks!

Merry Christmas 2023! Here's a short lil' jingle I whipped up in celebration. I've been planning a tango/flamenco piece for orchestra I really wanna do, but no idea if I'll get that done anytime soon since I've got a fairly time-consuming gig related to TV/Film music starting next month, so this may be the last you'll hear from me for a while since I'll probably be locked away in my studio drinking vast quantities of tea and pondering the MIDI the next couple months.
