Hi everyone, This is my latest piano composition, dance of the moonlit clouds. I believe it has influences like classical and more modern piano music. I could describe this track as: A night scene with the clouds dancing under the moonlight, carried away by the wind...enjoy! VARIATION 2 has been fully scored!!! yipiieeee much more rhythm heavy, orchestration is much more heavier, theme is still very much recognizable, just under different context

That sounds like a jazz piece with complex chord choices before 03:45 with a tons of synchropation. I actually enjoy it - fresh and energetic Curious what software and prompt/ constraint used to produce this music with AI? That was an abrupt stop though. lol

Hi @Fugax Contrapunctus! Very cool idea! I actually do something like this harmonically speaking in my Variations on "Deck the Halls" for Piano and Orchestra. I cycle through the whole circle of 5ths twice over before returning back to the home key, although it's not a canon. Very effective orchestration here, starting with just strings, adding woodwinds and then introducing the choir - very multi-dimensional approach to a simple repeating canonic structure. Thanks for sharing!

Reminds me of Pärt's Cantus in Memoriam of Benjamin Britten, only that it ascends instead. Please consider adding metallic percussion for punctuation and/or harp for arpeggios too.

peter, It is unfortunate to hear that this work did not appeal to you much(sad trumpet noises*). I think I actually did a lot to include the main theme in much of my work: the melody from m. 9 reappears in m. 30, m. 44 and m. 48(as an inversion). The B section itself is based on the same theme, while the C slap-tongue section utilizes a different material. I guess the theme isn’t as easy to follow since it has a quirky meter and twists + turns. Thank you for commenting on my use of extended techniques tho, always good to exploit my performers fullest potential(apart from the percussion).
