  3. Lower Instruments

    Does anyone here play lower instruments as their primary? I do. I have been playing tuba for almost four years now. I am in the Marching Band and Wind Ensemble. After playing this instrument for awhile, I sometimes have second thoughts on if I should have stayed with trumpet. This usually happens on a Stand Fast 32 measure blaring trumpet solo during a marching show. Ah, well, just a rant. I do like low instruments, you can feel yourself balancing the band. I also play bass. I am in the Spartanaires (my high school's show choir). I have been playing for three years. Please reply if you play/have played lower instruments and share some of your experiences.
