I used Sonar for recording, I have an Ibanez JS1000bp, Peavy Envoy 110, Ada MP2 (for Dist) and Zoom 8080 (for delay and reverb mainly)

Thanks! =D For recording I used a Sound Blaster Live! (I think they are from 1998) and a toy like mic (one of those tiny cheap ones). Drums, bass and keyboards are midis I wrote and then sampled. I'm planning on buying new stuff but I just can't decide... and I got a job (I started today), so I'm out of free time now :(

You could also find some inspiration in any of the bands with Jorn Lande singing... it is Power Metal but with more of a Heavy/Hardrock feel.

I had this problem many times... I always write tabs for anything I come up with, so as to start making a song out of it... but then I get discouraged and find whatever I did boring, too conventional or too similar to something I already did, and I leave it there. So now I have a lot of tabs, which I listen to again to get ideas (after some time I get the feeling i didn't wrote them).
