  1. That seems like a more accurate description of my problem. I really like the idea about the midi playback. I'll definitely give that a go. Thank you all for your replies
  2. I have completed three pieces. One is a 2 minute piano solo I wrote 7 years ago when I was 10, one is a 4.5 minute full orchestral piece I completed a month ago, and one is a very short timpani solo I wrote a few weeks ago. However, I've written about 300 sketches and one almost-completed 6 minute piece for piano and orchestra. Some of the sketches are about a minute long, but most are just a few measures. For some reason, I just can't bring myself to work on one particular piece for an extended amount of time. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  3. It seems to end rather abruptly.. It would be great to hear the themes developed more. Also, on the trills, in playback I hear a half step trill, but you should specify it on the score. By the way, this won't be tricky at all for professionals (I'm not sure which players you meant, though.) Overall, I like the ideas. Good work!
  4. That can be very true. Although, in my opinion, writing a piece without a set form seems easy and limitless, it can be overwhelming in the actual writing process when you can go anywhere.
  5. I like the atmosphere. Yes, it reminds me of Evanescene too.
  6. Thank you all for listening. Does anyone want to comment on the notation/score itself?
  7. I really enjoy the interesting and intense atmosphere you create. It DEFINITELY sounds like an escape, and "Corridor" is a perfect title. I will definitely examine it further when a score is posted. Great job!
  8. I actually enjoyed it very much. It gets a tad muddy near the end, but nothing too bad, in my opinon. I would love to hear it developed and expanded. Good work
  9. Thank you both for your comments. This is entirely made up of the Garritan Personal Orchestra library, sequenced in Cubase. I'm very impressed by the GPO library
  10. Full orchestra for me, definitely.
  11. I like some of the ideas you have. I especially enjoyed when you changed the sixteenth note motif to eighth notes at 1:16. I like the general idea you have for the timpani, although a little less of it and more variety would be good. Also, a greater dynamic contrast would be nice too (in all parts.) You definitely need to check instrument ranges though... I noticed the concert A-flat in the french horn at 1:28- that's out of it's range for sure. There are also quite a few concert G's and F's in the horn, which are too high as well.
  12. *EDIT* Thank you all for your comments. I'm not too keen on leaving the score/mp3 up here, so I'm taking it down for now.
