  1. Thanks composer. I was beginning to wonder if someone was ever going to review my piece. But yeah ... more egyptian, I've gotten that lately. It's still very rough, but I'm working on it!
  2. Hi everyone, This piece is one that I started working on the previous Friday when I FINALLY received my new midi keyboard in the mail. Lately I've been working with a modified D Major scale in which I employ a lowered 2nd (E flat) and 6th (B flat). This gives the piece a somewhat middle-eastern flavor which I really like. This piece I would describe as jazz fusion, but I might be mistaken in that regard. Tell me what you guys think. p.s. the piece is very rough and, as of yet, incomplete. Asmodean ? Baba Da Baba ? 3. Thanks chodel, I'll take that into account. I have been a little dissatisfied as well with it in some regards. As on of my first compositions it is understandably a little mundane but, all in all nice in the melody and not overly complex which comes with my lack of experience. Thanks again!
  4. Thanks, I will take that into account. The main issue is that I tend to turn everything into a waltz, lol. It happens without thought. After I finish this suite, I will move away from it, but it is an integral part of this specific work. I will try to expand the piece more. Thanks Again!
  5. Hey, Thanks for everything. It does sound much better on piano, and more complete for all that.
  6. Hi, This is my second post on young composers and as my first didn't get much interest :sadtears: I have decided to try once more. The piece that I am submitting is the first movement of a suite of three pieces that I am doing for piano in d minor, my favorite minor key. While the basis of this suite is d minor, it is not necessarily only d minor. I have "developed" a scale that I use for a lot of my music. For anyone who wants to know it is as follows (m2-m3-m2-M2-m2-m3-m2) where m is minor and M is major. It has a very middle-eastern/eastern European style to the music. There are some discrepancies in the midi file as Sibelius tends to not play trills and some fermatas aren't played also, so please take that into account. Thanks, And I hope you all write what you think! Suite in D minor First Movement.mid Suite in D minor First Movement.pdf
  7. Thanks! I'll look into it.
  8. Why doesn't anyone post anything? Does nobody like my song? COME ON PEOPLE, I NEED FEEDBACK!
  9. Here's a PDF of the song, I hope you enjoy it. Nicole's Song.pdf
  10. Sure, I'm glad you like it! I'll put the PDF on soon. JUST DON'T STEAL IT! :P
  11. Hi everyone! I wrote a song for a Christmas present this year. I just want to know what people think of it. I realized after I finished the song it kind of sounds like a mix between Roxette's Listen to your Heart and Suzie McNeal's Believe; it was completely unintentional.
